Finding the motivation to workout when you're pregnant can be tough. Between morning sickness, fatigue, and back pain, it's hard to believe you can exercise and actually enjoy it during pregnancy. As a mother of two young boys, currently in her third trimester with a third boy, Tonya Larson understands the challenges of finding the time, energy and inspiration to stay fit during pregnancy. That's why she created Prenatal Cardio Sculpt to be a fun and versatile workout that expectant mothers can look forward to without any "dread factor." Prenatal Cardio Sculpt begins slowly with an easy & refreshing 7-minute warm-up that prepares you mentally and physically for the workout ahead. Once you start moving and enjoy it, you'll be surprised how much you look forward to working out. The music Tonya chose for this DVD is an original & unique soundtrack of the best Christian dance music by Go Global Entertainment. This music makes you want to move and motivates you; mind body and spirit.

Whether you're in your first, second or third trimester, this workout has been designed to be safe and effective. There are two modifiers visible during each segment that offer options that work best for various trimesters and/or fitness levels. If you haven't been working out prior to becoming pregnant, according to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, you can still start an exercise routine, with your OBGYN's approval, by slowly building up your endurance beginning with 5-minutes of exercise a day.

CARDIO: Approximately 23 minutes
All 5 Cardio Segments are low-impact, no bouncing or spinning, and done at a low to moderate bpm (beats per minute) of 130. Tonya's combinations are great because she puts together a lot of fun moves that aren't repetitive nor are they overly complex. She challenges you to learn some new things, which will keep you from getting bored, but combines them with simple exercises that are easy to follow.

SCULPT: Approximately 19 minutes
A total body workout using light hand-weights, a chair and a mat. Tonya addresses all the major muscle groups making sure to offer safe and comfortable modifications for every trimester and fitness level. Most of the exercises are done sitting or leaning on a chair or lying down on your side on a mat. Tonya keeps you off your feet during the majority of this segment, which offers a more comfortable approach to sculpting during pregnancy.

COOL-DOWN & STRETCH: Approximately 9 minutes
Tonya brings your heart rate down and leads you through stretches that relieve back pain, reduce stress and relax you from head to toe.

This workout has been approved for Tonya by her personal OBGYN. However, before attempting this workout, you should consult your own physician especially when pregnant.
